My friend Daniel, who's a local in Melbourne, passed me a link to this guy's myspace webpage, and i was immediately hooked! No puns intended - its a Sydney based DJ and producer, named Hook N Sling, aka Anthony Maniscalco. This track, which is apparently a #1 club hit in Aus currently, called 'The Best Thing', a remake of the classic 80s hit of Boom Crash Opera, featuring the lead vocal of Boom Crash Opera, Dale Ryder (he re-recorded the vocal for this club version, how cool is that).
Mellow but danceable, kinda reminds of me the Swedish duo, Plej.
The best thing i could have got now, when i found myself in the middle of no where. yearning for a glimpse of light, again.
